Graduated in Dentistry from the Federal University of Alagoas (1998), obtained Specialization in Periodontics at EAP-ABO-PE (2004) and Doctor of Dentistry and Collective Health from the University of Pernambuco (2004). She serves as Adjunct Professor at the Federal University of Pernambuco, Coordinator of the Specialization Course in Implant Dentistry, and is a permanent staff member of the Postgraduate Course in Dentistry (both Master""s and Doctoral courses), at the same institution. She undertook her Postgraduate studies in Periodontics at Eastman Dental Institute, University College London, England (2010), under the supervision of Professor Nikos Donos. She is also a reviewer for diverse Brazilian and international periodicals and Scientific Editor of the journal IJD - International Journal of Dentistry. Experienced in the field of Dentistry, with emphasis on Periodontics and Implant dentistry, she works mainly in the following areas: Periodontics, Molecular Biology, Genetics, Peri-implant Esthetics, Non-Surgical Periodontal Treatment, and Biomaterials.

Estela Santos Gusm o
Graduating in Dentistry from the Pernambuco Dental School - FOP/UPE (1977) she is a Specialist in Periodontics, from the Federal University of Pernambuco - UFPE (1981) Extension Course in Social Periodontics at the University of Illinois - Chicago, USA (1981) Master of Clinical Dentistry (area of focus - Periodontics) from the University of S o Paulo - USP (1987) Doctor of Dentistry (Periodontics) from the University of S o Paulo - USP (1990). Adjunct and Regent Professor of the Periodontics Course at the Pernambuco Dental School-FOP/UPE Former Coordinator of Courses of Improvement and Specialization in Periodontics from the School of Professional Improvement - EAP/ABO-PE Member of the Academic Staff of the Postgraduate Program in Dentistry (both Master""s and Doctoral courses) at the Pernambuco Dental School - FOP/UPE and Assistant Professor of the Specialization Course in Periodontics at the Federal University of Pernambuco - UFPE, Recife Dental School - FOR and Guararapes Faculty - FG / Potiguar University-UNP and Consultant/Scientific Reviewer of various Brazilian periodicals. Nikos Donos
Graduating in Dentistry from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece (1992), he specialized in Periodontics at the Royal Dental College, University of Aarhus, Denmark in 1994 at this time he also completed a Master""s degree in Periodontics. In 1998 he received the title of Doctor of Periodontics from the Royal Dental College, Department of Periodontology, University of Aarhus, Denmark. In 1999 he served as Clinical Professor at the Royal Dental College, University of Aarhus, Denmark. In 2000, he then received a scholarship from ITI Straumann and worked in the Department of Periodontics and Fixed Dental Prosthesis, University of Berne, Switzerland. In 2001 he went to work for the Eastman Dental Institute, UCL, London, where he earned the position of Head of Periodontics in 2005. At present he is Director of Research Strategies at UCL, Eastman Dental Institute, Head of the Department of Clinical Research, Head of Periodontics and Director of the Master""s Program in Periodontics and Co-director of the Training Program in Implant Dentistry. A member of various high impact periodicals he additionally presents publications of great relevance in the areas of Periodontics and Implant Dentistry.
